Training Days 2025 Topic Areas

Infrastructure (including database)

Sessions in the Infrastructure (including database) topic area discuss topics related to the "guts" of IT, such as Database Administration (DBA), application server, cloud infrastructure, and MySQL administration. Sample "guts" topics include database tuning and optimization, security, MLOps, OCI, PaaS, IaaS, cloud migration, ASH, autonomous functionality, converged database, and Oracle 23ai database new features. This topic area also covers administration and tuning of Oracle applications, Oracle Cloud applications, Fusion Applications, Enterprise Business Suite (EBS), Hyperion/EPM, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and SAP.

Development

The Development topic area targets Oracle Cloud and web development tools such as Application Express (APEX), Visual Builder/VB Studio, JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET), Application Development Framework (ADF), and MySQL development. It also targets Oracle languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, and Java. The how-to develop using AI, Oracle Code Assist, Select AI, and ML techniques is also a key subject. This topic area's main objective is to provide relevant soft skills that will empower its audience to be more effective in their work and lives.

Beyond Oracle

More and more these days, IT shops who have technology stacks that are centered around the Oracle database or Oracle Cloud products also find themselves integrating products from other companies as well as from open source projects. This topic area highlights non-Oracle technologies and languages from open source efforts and from companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and IBM. Sample subjects include AWS, AD, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Mojo, Go, Mongo/Big Data/NoSQL, DB2, SQL Server, Postgres, Large Language Models, vector databases, and Copilot.
