UTOUG Ski Day is an annual event for novice to advanced downhill or Nordic skiers, snowboarders, and snowshoers when we spend the day after the conference in the majestic Wasatch Mountains to unwind and recreate. It's also a chance for further networking with speakers and other attendees to discuss technical topics and make expert contacts.

Travel Notes
Getting There: Transportation to the mountain will be finalized during Training Days. Please inform the Training Days registration desk if you need a ride or if you are driving and have room for passengers. If no conference attendees are available for transportation, you can book a ride with a mountain shuttle such as Utah Mountain Shuttle here.
Parking: Reservations are required. $35/vehicle. Be sure to park at the Village entrance, the second Solitude entrance on the way up the canyon, not the Moonbeam entrance.
Renting a Car?: A Traction Law applies to vehicle travel in Big Cottonwood Canyon where Solitude Mountain is located. Rental car companies in the area cooperate by offering special vehicles that comply with this law. You can read more about the Traction Law and rental car company compliance here.
Agenda
Before 9:45 am: Obtain your lift ticket (if needed) and ski rental (if needed). Both can be reserved at www.solitudemountain.com.
Notes: Solitude Mountain is on the Ikon Pass; discount lift tickets might be availablle at Liftopia. For ski rentals, shops in town may be less expensive, and offer more choices than the rental shop at the mountain.
9:45 am: Meet at the ticket booth/rental shop in the Village, building 3a on the Solitude Village map.
10:00 am: Form groups based on skill level, and explore the trails..
12:30 pm: Meet for light lunch at the Argenta Pub in the Moonbeam Lodge, building 13 on the Solitude Village Map.
After lunch: Return to the trails for more turns until the lifts close (4:00 pm) or until our legs get tired, whichever comes first. Return transportation TBD.
