The afternoon keynote presentation on Having It All For Free! will be given by Niel Nickolaisen, Chief Technology Officer, OC Tanner.

We live in a world that is moving fast (at the pace of technology). Even worse, we swim in oceans of ambiguity and uncertainty. Thus, we are faced with a challenge of having to move fast into the great unknown. This requires teams to perform at very high levels. But, what specific things can leaders do to build high-performing teams? In this presentation, Niel describes three things that leaders can do to build high-performing teams - and all it takes is leadership willing to adopt embrace these three things:

  • Change how decisions are made - push decision-making to the edges without creating chaos

  • Focus innovation on what creates competitive advantage - how do we align our innovation to organization and market needs? Where is good enough good enough?

  • Embrace a new leadership model - a model in which any leader's primary role is to create a culture of trust and ownership.

Niel is a practicing IT leader who uses these tools to unleash talent and create transformative results.
