Sometimes recovery of an Oracle database is straightforword. Sometimes it's not. In this session we'll talk about some of the scenarios that are not straightforward: how to avoid them as much as possible and how to fix them if they happen to you. An outline for the class is below.

Bryan Dickson has 20 years experience working in the computing industry with the last 15 concentrating in database management. He is the database and storage manager at Galileo Processing, the leader in advanced payment processing. Prior to Galileo, Mr. Dickson worked as a consultant across the United States and Canada specializing in Oracle RAC technology. He also taught for Oracle University for five years receiving multiple awards for teaching excellence including instructor of the year. Mr. Dickson has completed many Oracle Certifications, including the Oracle Certified Professional, and the two day Oracle Certified Master certification.
