Developer SIG: JDeveloper Introduction, Tips and Best Practices 6/13/12

The presentation will cover the basics of using JDeveloper with Oracle Application Extensions. We will look at finding the correct version for the current application installed. We will look at setting up the JDeveloper environment. We will show how to build a simple self-service web page. We will also show how to deploy the page to the server. There will be time allowed for a discussion on best practices, tips and specific questions that participants may have.

Dan Roth has worked with Oracle Applications (EBS) since 1999. He has worked with Oracle Forms and Reports and PL SQL for the last six years. In the last two years he has begun working with Java and JDeveloper for employee self-service functions. Dan graduated from BYU with a Master's Degree in Accounting, with an emphasis in Business Information Systems. He has been employed at Intermountain Healthcare for 17 years, working on IT related projects in Finance, Budgeting and HR/Payroll. Dan has presented at UTOUG Training Days and the Fall Symposium. He also serves on the UTOUG Board.
