DBA SIG: Troubleshooting Techniques

The DBA is called on to troubleshoot many performance issues from inefficient SQLs to memory and disk problems. There are various approaches to the troubleshooting process. We will be talking about some of these approaches and more at this SIG. Come and learn more about troubleshooting.

Lynn Conrad has worked for Valtek, Oracle, Frankin Covey, IHC , and the LDS Church. He has over 13 years in IT working with Oracle databases in some form or fashion (Oracle Apps consultant, DBA, Project Manager, Product Manager, etc). He has over 9 years of experience as an Oracle DBA working with 8.0, 8i, 9i, 10g, and 11g, PSSP, ASM, OPS, RAC, RMAN, Linux, Tru64, AIX, HPUX, Solaris. He has worked on custom applications/databases, as well as canned packages like Oracle Apps (HR, Manufacturing, Payroll, Finance), Peoplesoft (HR, Payroll, Finance), Remedy, HK systems WMS/TMS, Kronos, and others.
