This presentation will help you answer the question `Should I be using ASM with my databases?' The presentation will include a description of ASM, a discussion of who should use ASM, and information on how to install ASM and migrate your database to ASM

Automatic Storage Management (ASM) is a feature in Oracle Database 10g/11g that provides the database administrator with a storage management interface that is consistent across all server and storage platforms.

Raymond Jones, a technology professional for over 20 years, will be our presenter. He has been an Oracle DBA for 10 years and is an Oracle Certified Professional for versions 8i, 9i and 10g.

This presentation will help you answer the question `Should I be using ASM with my databases?'; The presentation will include a description of ASM, a discussion of who should use ASM, and information on how to install ASM and migrate your database from a file system to ASM. For those already using ASM it will be an opportunity to talk about how to best use it
